Expert and trainer in the field of human rights. Has a long experience in the international world in Geneva. Co-founder of the Swiss Section of ‘Pax Christi’, international catholic movement for peace (1980). Co-founder of ‘SOS-Torture’, world organisation against torture (1985). Founder (1984) and Director of the ‘International Service for Human Rights’ (1987-2003). Since 2003, President of ‘Geneva for Human Rights – Global Training’.
Todd Howland
Chief, Development, Economic & Social Rights Branch. OHCHR
He has over 25 years of professional experience in the field of human rights. He presently serves as Chief, Right to Development, Sustainable Development, and Economic and Social Rights Branch, of the Thematic Engagement, Special Procedures and Right to Development Division of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva. He has served as Representative of OHCHR in Colombia, in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola. He also held other human rights positions with the United Nations in Rwanda, Equatorial Guinea, Geneva and in New York.
